'WOO' is an immersive art installation, created by moving image artist Justice David Gutierrez (of Warm Bubblegum) & is currently active at contemporary arts organization "ahha Tulsa", located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The 'WOO: Original Soundtrack' is a comprehensive aural directors cut, in a manor of speaking, of selections of looped, generated, and sequenced sounds created originally for the installation.

About WOO:

Having successfully worked together in the past, with regard to my contributions to his short film 'Check Surroundings' in 2017, Justice reached out to me requesting original & interactive sound design to help bring his installation space to life, and naturally I was honored to take on the task. This would be my first official work for an installation, something I'd been yearning to make happen increasingly with time, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better collaborator to bring that dream to fruition. After some time discussing concepts and direction, sharing playlists of influential music that Justice had been recently inspired by, and some reworking of ideas, we established what would become 'WOO'. I began projecting myself in this new space we were aiming to create. Though music production always tends to be something of a meditative exercise for me, I must say that almost instantly, I could tell this process was different, and it was quite cathartic to say the least.
One significant downside admittedly has been the geographical distance between Justice and I. Though, through thick and thin we've managed to smooth over and hash out the heart of what we hoped to accomplish, doing so entirely over the internet and states apart, was less than ideal, and there is a bit of sadness I feel knowing that I haven't had the chance (yet) to physically experience the finished product of our hard work for myself, between general life setbacks, and well...2020. *cough*
That all said I have zero complaints. This was a true joy of a project from start to finish. Something I'm extremely proud of and that I hope you can all experience a sliver of the full magic of this wonderous exhibit through this collected body of sound presented here.
