in 2016 Justice Gutierrez of Warm Bubblegum reached out to me as a fan of my work, wanting to collaborate, and shortly after we began discussing what would become the 'Check Surroundings' project. This was my first official foray into doing scoring work for a film. I took heavy inspiration from prominent influences on my work and in the scoring field, Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (ie. The Social Network, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Gone Girl, mid90's, Waves) of Nine Inch Nails fame. I produced a few tracks for the project but only 2 made the final cut for the short film.
